Good morning, Honorable Consul General Hyung Ki Min, Hur Ri Hoon and distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, I am deeply honored by the privilege to be here this morning. On behalf of the Korean Americans in the Los Angeles area, I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of you. Also I would like sincerely thank those who have been helpful in making this special conference available and successful.
It is my great pleasure to have an opportunity to meet leaders of the Korean American Adoptee, Adoptive Family Network. We are very proud of all of you for your dedication and hard work to have better understanding, better communication and a better relationship between you and your homeland Korea. Especially we support your trying to learn and understand the Korean culture, history and tradition. As you know, all the Koreans including our president and First Lady, Hee-ho Lee, are very much concerned about your well-being and our better relationship.
Also they have been expressing wordless thanks and appreciation to adoptive families for their unconditional love and parenting of all adoptees, by offering them love, home, education and so much more.
I do hope though this kind of gathering and seminar that all adoptees and their families can build closer relationships for our mutual goal of cooperation.
Our 21st century, though the globalization of the world, all of us will be working together for common goals, making this world a more harmonious and peaceful land on earch. To make these things happen, we need al of you to join and contribute to the globalization of Korea. If there is anything that our organization can be of help to you in this event, please let us know. Once again I want to thank all of you for your special support and participation.
